Chamomile Flower (Matricaria chamomilla)

Chamomile is a medicinal herb that has been known since ancient times. It is widely used in cosmetic preparations for its soothing and softening effects on the skin. For centuries, chamomile has been used as an anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, mild astringent, and healing agent. People who are allergic to the Compositae (Asteraceae) family of plants should not use chamomile.

Licorice Root (Glycyrrhiza glabra)

Licorice root is well known for its sweet taste, but its antioxidant properties are less known. Its extract has been shown to protect the skin from oxidative stress, which may slow the appearance of aging.

Meadowsweet (Filipendula ulmaria)

Meadowsweet, known as the Queen of the Meadow, has sweet-smelling flowers often used in teas and extracts. It contains powerful antioxidants shown to fight cell and tissue damage and has anti-inflammatory effects.

Aloe Vera

Since ancient times, aloe vera has been used to soothe the skin. According to studies, it can be used to retain skin moisture and integrity and also to improve skin healing. It’s also known for its anti-inflammatory properties.

Artichoke

Artichoke is a popular Mediterranean plant that is both delicious and nutritious. Aside from its nutritional value, it also has therapeutic properties because of its bioactive components, such as polyphenols, inulin, vitamins, and minerals. These have been shown to improve skin firmness and elasticity and may improve skin quality by slowing down degenerative processes that lead to wrinkles.

Green Tea

You may already enjoy drinking green tea, but did you know that green tea polyphenols have anti-inflammatory and anticarcinogenic properties? These polyphenols may be useful for the prevention of aging as well as skin cancer. They help brighten and repair skin to minimize the appearance of aging.

Magnolia

Magnolia extract has a soothing effect on the skin. It is sometimes used in skincare products to prevent sagging skin by improving elasticity. It may also help minimize redness and irritation. Research has shown that it has strong antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-tumor, and antimicrobial properties.

Water Hyssop (Bacopa monnieri)

Water Hyssop is commonly used in Middle Eastern and Southern European folk medicine. It has been shown to have antioxidant properties and is also useful in treating skin issues, including wrinkles.

Ashwagandha

You may know that ashwagandha is good for managing stress, but you might be surprised to learn that it’s also helpful for stressed skin. In Ayurveda, ashwagandha is used to help the skin produce natural oils, collagen, and elastin that reduce fine lines, dull skin, and breakouts. It’s also used to improve blood circulation for a healthy scalp and hair.

Siberian Ginseng

Since ancient times, ginseng has been believed to slow the aging process. Today, we have research to show that it helps support the cardiovascular system and nervous system as we get older. It’s also helpful for reducing wrinkles and for collagen production.

Lemon

Lemon has strong antioxidant properties that can help protect the skin and hair from free-radical damage.

Strawberry

Strawberries are one of the most delicious parts of summer; strawberry extract is a valuable protector against UV radiation. Leave it to nature to provide just what we need right when we need it most.

Pomegranate

Pomegranate is loaded with skin-nourishing compounds that reduce oxidative stress in the body. According to research, it is also believed to protect the skin from UV damage and changes to the skin microbiome.

Grape Seed (Vitis vinifera)

Grape seed improves skin elasticity and softness while also helping the skin use vitamins C and E more efficiently.

Apple

An apple a day may be a tasty way to keep the doctor away, but apples also contain vitamin E for soft skin. It also aids in producing keratin in the hair follicles for thicker, more beautiful hair.

Rowanberry (Sorbus aucuparia)

The healing qualities of rowanberry are thanks to its polyphenols, carotenoids, and organic acids. They are rich in antioxidants that help prevent premature aging, while also boosting cell regeneration.

Avocado

Avocados are brimming with healthy fats as well as antioxidant vitamins E and C. They contain compounds that help to protect skin and hair from UV damage and improve overall skin health.
